Basic Information

Focus and scope. Psicoperspectivas is an academic peer-reviewed publication aimed at the international scientific community, which publishes articles on Psychology in dialogue with the Social Sciences, with the aim of contributing to social transformation from a critical view of social problems of current relevance and their possibilities for change.

It only publishes original unpublished articles that communicate the results of empirical research, theoretical or mixed research, literature reviews, and systematization of interventions.

No theoretical essays, critical reflections, instrument validations or articles related to the field of Neurosciences are published.

Evaluation. The manuscripts are subjected to a preliminary review of relevance and quality. Once they have passed this stage, they are evaluated by two or more external peers according to the "double-blind" modality.

Manuscripts. Psicoperspectivas receives and publishes, free of charge, manuscripts written in Spanish, English or Portuguese. Manuscripts must not exceed 8,000 words and must meet the standards established by APA 6a. Edition (2010).

Publication. Accepted articles are published in electronic format three times a year (March 15, July 15 and November 15), and are downloadable free of charge from according to the Open Access policy.

Ethics. Psicoperspectivas adheres to the ethical guidelines of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE), of which is a member.

Conflict resolution. In the event of conflicts of any nature, the Editor-in-Chief shall, after consultation with the Editorial Committee, resolve the matter and inform the interested parties.

Copyright. Articles are published under International Creative Commons 4.0 license. Authors retain the copyright, granting publication license to Psicoperspectivas.

Editorial Committee. The Editorial Committee is integrated by recognized professionals of Psychology and Social Sciences, both Chilean and foreign.

Editorial Team. The members of the Editorial Team are national and international researchers recognized in the fields of Psychology and Social Sciences.

Funding. The journal is supported and sponsored by the School of Psychology of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile.

Indexations. Psicoperspectivas is indexed in SCOPUS, PSYCINFO, SciELO, DOAJ, LATINDEX, REDALYC and REDIB.

Costs. Publishing in Psicoperspectivas has no associated costs. Access to the contents is free for both authors and readers from the moment of publication.
