ARTEAGA, Andrés. La in-creíble actualidad del misterio de Cristo: Intento de aproximación a los desafíos a la credibilidad de la revelación enfrentados en el Concilio Vaticano II. Teol. vida [online]. 2004, vol.45, n.2-3, pp.196-209. ISSN 0049-3449.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0049-34492004000200003.

This article looks at he contribution of the Vatican Council II on the issue of credibility, to reconsider grace that the Council has brought to the Church in our age. It first deepens into what we understand by `credibility' sticking to the principles of the `Christologic concentration' and the `soteriolgic reference' (§1). The Vatican Council II is presented as a key event to understand the situation of the Catholic Church in the XX century and turn of the millennium (§2). Then, the author offers a global approach to the issue of credibility in the Council assembly, and wonders whether the Vatican II made any reference to Christ and the Christian salvation. He then argues that it is undeniable that the Council has attempted and to some extent managed to talk it to the modern man (§3). Then, he outlines how the four constitutions of the council provide a specific contribution to the issue of credibility of the revelation in its christological, ecclesiological, soteriological, anthropological and cosmological dimensions (§4). Then, the author mentions some of the aspects regarding credibility not discussed by the Vatican II, which still remain pending and highlighting the value of Christian charity (§5). Finally, he concludes that the council has made a valuable contribution the current challenges of credibility, but they still need to be received and put into practice by the faithful. He argues that we need to permeate our pastoral and institutional practices with the renewed concepts of `revelation' and `church' as formulated by the assembly and act out the orientations of the already mentioned cosmological, anthropological, christological, ecclesiological, soteriological principles of credibility
