Resumen

ZAMBRANA MORAL, Patricia. Las enseñanzas histórico-jurídicas y romanísticas en las principales facultades de derecho de los Estados Unidos de América. Rev. estud. hist.-juríd. [online]. 2004, n.26, pp.561-598. ISSN 0716-5455.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0716-54552004002600019.

The courses and seminars offered in Legal History and Roman Law (in 2002-2003 or 2003-2004) in some of the most important North American Schools of Law are examined. Teaching in American Legal History, English Legal History, American Constitutional History or Roman Law is unequal in the different Faculties. Nevertheless, the traditional Universities and those that occupy the outstanding numbers in "ranking" of Schools of Law count on greater and select offert of historical-legal disciplines. Following the ranking "America's Best Graduate Schools 2004", "top" 10 Law Schools are analyzed: Yale, Stanford, Harvard, Columbia, New York, Chicago, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the Cornell University. In addition we consider others like Alabama, Indiana, Wisconsin-Madison, the Duke Law School University or George Washington University Law School.

Palabras clave : law studies in USA; law teaching in USA; law faculties in USA; legal history studies in USA; legal history teaching in USA; legal history in the law faculties in USA.
