This article presents an approach to the symbolic presence of the sea in the literary work of the playwright Jorge Diaz (1930). El velero en la botella (The sailboat in the bottle), El naufragio interminable (the interminable shipwreck) and Un corazón lleno de lluvia (A heart full of rain). His purpose is to approach the image of the image of the sea in the tradition and his way to perceive it. Their hypothesis deals with the rescuing presence of the sea related to a conception of nature as "another order of things outside man"
