FELIPE, Antonio E.; CABODEVILA, Jorge A. y CALLEJAS, Santiago S.. MORPHOLOGY OF THE UTERO-TUBAL JUNCTION IN Myocastor coipus (COYPU). Rev. chil. anat. [online]. 2002, vol.20, n.2, pp.139-144. ISSN 0716-9868. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0716-98682002000200004.
Microanatomics characteristics of the uterotubal junction of sexually mature females of Myocastor coypus were studied. Oviducts and first uterine segment came from breeding farm females. The organs were fixed and routinely processed with histologic techniques. Macro and microscopic analysis into serial longitudinal and transversal 5 um sections were realized. Sections were stained by haenatoxylin and eosin and Masson´s trichrome. The isthmus joined with dorsolateral wall of the cephalic uterine extremity, after trace a sharp curve. The continuity among the outer muscular bundles of the oviduct and the uterus was observed. The oviductal orifice placed at the top of a conic prominence (colliculo tubarico). In the inner tunica mucosa of the colliculo were observed numerous primary mucosal folds with secondary folds, covered by a single cuboidal epithelium
