Abstract
BENITEZ, Solano. Estancia LA: Santaní, Paraguay. ARQ (Santiago) [online]. 2010, n.75, pp.76-81. ISSN 0717-6996. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0717-69962010000200020.
The house is considered as a protective instrument against hostile climate. The material, ceramic brick assembled by local workers, is the raw material of the whole construction; the floor is flat, the walls oblique and folded, and the enclosures and roof are light. Along its length of 36 m runs a zig-zagging wall that delimits the living and sleeping areas, while in its interior, the broken brick walls mixed with concrete create panels of enclosure of 6m in height and only 4cm of width. A steel rod protects the large horizontal glass walls that open the interior to the landscape.
