Resumen

RODRIGUEZ-MARTIN, Conrado. MANIFESTACIONES ESQUELETALES DE LAS ENFERMEDADES PARASITARIAS. Chungará (Arica) [online]. 2000, vol.32, n.1, pp.117-121. ISSN 0717-7356.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0717-73562000000100019.

Unfortunately for paleopathology, parasitic illnesses constitute pathological entities that produce very scarce manifestations in skeletal tissue. Additionally, few of these conditions produce changes in the bones, which makes our lack of knowledge about their prevalence in past populations even greater. Concretely, and until the present, changes have been observed in only two of the conditions: equinococosis and oisticercosis. We will speak of these two diseases in this presentation trying to review their most prominent characteristics and their epidemiological milestones which are important from an ecological point of view

Palabras clave : Osteopathology; hydatid disease; parasitology.
