GONZALEZ CORTEZ, Héctor  and  GUNDERMANN KROLL, Hans. LAND PROPERTY RIGHT ACCESS, COMMUNITY AND COLLECTIVE IDENTITIES AMONG AYMARA COMMUNITIES IN NORTHERN CHILE (1821-1930). Chungará (Arica) [online]. 2009, vol.41, n.1, pp.51-70. ISSN 0717-7356.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0717-73562009000100004.

We present the results of analyses of different historical records to demonstrate how Aymara communities in Northern Chile en-dared both Peruvian and Chilean state regulation of land property rights; and how these regulations influenced their ethnic and nationalistic collective identities between 1821 and 1930, when these territories become part of Chile.

Keywords : Republic history Chile and Peru; land property rights; indigenous community; identity; Aymara.
