This paper aims at analyzing the sources and the scope of the right to development. It also deals with the indivisibility between this right and the right to a healthy environment. The paper suggests that the right to development is well enough grounded on legal sources as to be explicitly incorporated into the Constitution. Its interrelation with the right to a healthy environment calls for constitutional recognition. The paper ends with a preliminary proposal of constitutional reform in this respect.
