This work presents a methodology for the analysis and selection of gas turbines in trigeneration systems. A mathematical model was developed for the prediction of the performance of gas turbines under ISO conditions and under the local conditions of turbine operation. The model included the analysis of refrigeration systems by compression. A case study was carried out where a gas turbine was thermally integrated using pinch analysis techniques. The performance of the integrated turbine under different scenarios of heat production and power was analyzed. It was demonstrated that the most efficient integrated system was the one that both supplied the process power requirement and minimized the heat losses to the environment.
