Abstract

A new technique to solve the problem of deviation of the optimum voltage profile in power distribution networks has been developed. The node voltage can be adjusted, operating the under-load tap changer (ULTC). The main idea is to get a set of values for the ULTC’s tape changer that can approximate the node voltage, that they are controlling, to the nominal node voltage. To solve the problem, evolutionary algorithm techniques implemented in Matlab® have been developed. Optimum voltage profiles are been obtained, minimizing the mean square root of node voltage.
