Abstract
CASTRILLON, Omar D. and SARACHE, William. Bayesian System to Analyze the Random Behavior of a Lottery. Inf. tecnol. [online]. 2018, vol.29, n.1, pp.19-26. ISSN 0718-0764. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-07642018000100019.
The objective of the present work is to analyze a lottery game using a Bayesian system in order to identify trends in its results. It was found that those numbers, whose Bayesian function performed in the range 2.2 to 2.4, would have the greatest possibility to be the winners. Although the obtained results do not suggest total certainty to identify the exact winner number, the proposed methodology is useful for applying and predicting trends in other random systems such as car accidents, disease behavior and crime, among others. Given the importance of these types of systems, identifying and trying to predict their behavior is of special importance in public and private decision making.
