This research analyzes the existence of Burnout syndrome in teachers of a public high school of technical education in the city of Coquimbo, in Chile. Data collection was done using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). As a result, the global level of Burnout Syndrome is medium or low in the educators of this public high school. Only emotional exhaustion showed significant incidence (34% of the surveyed educators), while the problems of depersonalization and lack of personal accomplishment at work are found at low and low-medium levels respectively.
