Abstract
ZAPATA-RUIZ, Diego L. and OVIEDO-LOPERA, Juan C.. Simulation Model of Productivity Alternatives to Support Decision Making Processes in Companies of the Sector Floricultor Antioqueño. Inf. tecnol. [online]. 2019, vol.30, n.2, pp.57-72. ISSN 0718-0764. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-07642019000200057.
The present study analyzes the results obtained in the group of companies from the floriculture sector of Antioquia - Colombia, dedicated to the production of export flowers, in which a general description of the model of processes was developed under the notation of Modeling De Business Processes (MPN), allowing the identification and collection of data associated with the critical variables of the production process in its pre-harvest and postharvest phases. Subsequently, a simulation of the production process is performed to determine which should be the use of the available resources that optimize its productivity. The characteristics associated to the competitiveness of this type of company were determined and three scenarios were considered. In these scenarios profitability is observed by varying the type of flower that was harvested, the demand and the change of currency.
