The aim of this study was to analyze the scientific production in Social Education with older people. All articles of the Web of Science (Core Collection) during the period 2008-2018 were selected by filtering the search with the words "social" and "education" in the title and the word "older" in the topic. Following PRISMA indications, 35 articles were selected and analyzed based on their: institution’s publication distribution, journal type, main discipline, study type, publication’s orientation, statistical methods, sample type, sample’s age, context, sample’s educational level, and resources and tools usage. The articles assessed here included articles having a study sample of older people and another group and articles having intervention programs compared to other fields of action. The results showed that there were a wide range of scientific journals that accepted publishing on the topic of older people social education. The present study generated an action map for future research.
