Abstract

FERRADA AGUILAR, Andrés. Ficción y metaficción en la narración de Arthur Gordon Pym de Edgar Allan Poe. Rev. signos [online]. 2002, vol.35, n.51-52, pp.59-71. ISSN 0718-0934.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-09342002005100004.

This paper addresses both fictional and metafictional levels present in Edgar Allan Poe's 1838 The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym. Both levels provide rich information as regards the process of composition of this particular narrative as well as the fabrication of fictions in general. As Poe manipulates the narrative texture of Pym's journey, the author emphasizes his deliberate intent to create a fictional work that deals with fiction.
