The main purpose of this work is to report the outcome of an educational merging project. The study was conducted in a private school in Santiago, Chile that is implementing this change. A detailed assessment was performed by in-depth interviews with the involved parties and evaluations through a surrey at the end of the experience. The school is seen in the light of an educational enterprise, whose main goals are to improve students' performance by obtaining maximum advantage of its' resources. We conclude that intercultural education can succeed as a long term process, despite the need for certain initial conditions and implementation difficulties.
