The article discusses the projection of de global environmental crisis, particularly its variable climate change as a possible source of tension and conflict in the new emerging global order. It is argued that increasingly political science, international studies and geography (among other disciplines) consider the environmental factor and / or ecological increasingly crucial to world politics in the first half of this century to raise the point that the geopolitics of globalization is the geopolitical environment and greening of geopolitics. In this sense, the focus is on power looks like the U.S. front of the subject and the role that is assigned to Latin America, illustrating the case of the Amazon.
