Abstract
RODRIGUEZ-PONCE, Emilio et al. The impact of the quality assurance system in the service delivered by the private universities in Chile. Ingeniare. Rev. chil. ing. [online]. 2011, vol.19, n.3, pp.409-419. ISSN 0718-3305. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-33052011000300010.
This study examines the relationship between quality assurance systems of universities and the service provided by them. For this purpose, we develop a conceptual framework that links the two variables and then discusses the relevance of the hypothesis to work with a sample of twenty private universities that have participated in processes of institutional accreditation. The results show that the system of quality assurance, as measured by the years of accreditation, has explanatory power of 41.5% service quality in universities analyzed. Therefore, we conclude that the processes of quality assurance of tertiary education institutions, are a constituent and determinant of the quality of service of these institutions.
