Abstract

We report five patients subjected to bariatric surgery, that required reoperation due to symptoms or weight gain. A 47 year old female with an hourglass stomach secondary to gastric banding, required a subtotal gastrectomy with Roux en Y reconstruction. A 41 years old female with a bilobulated stomach and a gastric ulcer secondary to gastric banding required a subtotal gastrectomy with Roux en Y reconstruction. A 51 years old female with a dilatation of the gastric reservoir to a volume of approximately 550 ml, was subjected to a gastric resection, leaving a 60 ml gastric stump. A 46 years old female with a severe weight loss, vomiting an a stenosis of the gastro-jejunal anastomotic pouch, was subjected to a near total gastrectomy with Roux en Y reconstruction. A 42 years old female with a hiatal hernia and a gastric stenosis secondary to gastric banding, was subjected to subtotal gastrectomy with Roux en Y reconstruction
