Resumen

ANDION HERRERO, MARÍA ANTONIETA  y  CRIADO DE DIEGO, CECILIA. CONSIDERATIONS ON THE PHONETIC VARIATION IN SPANISH AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL EVALUATION OF THE LANGUAGE AS FL/SL: DELE, SIELE AND CELU. RLA [online]. 2019, vol.57, n.1, pp.13-32. ISSN 0718-4883.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-48832019000100013.

Oral assessment within the new international certification proposals for Spanish should respect the principle of acceptance of the linguistic plurality reflecting the inclusive nature of institutions and countries, and thereby recognizing the pluricentric nature of Spanish. The due consideration of varieties requires, for those who set and mark the exams of these certifications, the development of initiatives for appreciating this linguistic fact. This is the only way we can achieve the desired acceptance of an examinee's language variety. In this article we focus on the phonetic variation of Spanish and its sociolinguistic condition ing as well as teachers' beliefs and attitudes towards their varieties. On this basis, oral test samples of three cases of international certification of the language (DELE, SIELE and CELU) are analyzed to reflect on the treatment given to the variation of Spanish and the possible implications of the training of the evaluators.

Palabras clave : Phonetic variation; Spanish as a foreign/second language; oral assessment; ex ams; stigmatization.
