It is proposed that the inclusion of history, culture, art and technological topics could enrich the training of university teachers of the areas of Exact and Natural Sciences.  Three proposals are presented and discussed: a) the inclusion of art concepts in scientific teaching, especially in mathematics, b) historical analysis of textbooks, as a resource for integral formation, and c) the necessity of a basic technological training for university teachers of Exact and Natural Sciences. One of the main conclusions of this study is that any improvement of university education and professional formation could be only possible through projects that incorporate a structured model of science, unified, not desegregated, that relate science and technology, that is projects that recuperate the value and meaning of knowledge.
