The aim of this work is the development of an augmented reality experience in the teaching-learning process for the formation of industrial engineers in the field of fluid mechanics. The influence of new technologies in the field of higher education was analyzed, and the characteristics of augmented reality technology allow better results and are significantly effective in achieving learning. To carry out the experience a mixed methodology was used in the development of virtual learning objects based on augmented reality and component-based software engineering. It is concluded that this technology will help the student to have an appropriate visual understanding of the problems presented. This because in the traditional way in which these exercises are raised, there are many aspects that cannot be displayed easily. It is important to determine in the future, if there is a significant difference in solving exercises by students using augmented reality, compared to those who do not use it.
