Processes of academic mobility occurring in ten higher education institutions with training programs for early childhood educators in the city of Bogotá, Colombia are analyzed. The research proposal is part of a descriptive and exploratory study and the information was collected through a survey applied to ten representatives of the institutions. Great differences between the processes of academic mobility that manages each University were found. Some differences are with respect to age, social recognition and quality of education between the studied programs. These factors influence in different forms the academic mobility of teachers and students. However, although the indicators do not favor such a process, some interest of universities to establish inter-agency partnerships to strengthen them are observed.
