Resumen

BLANCO, Humberto; PEINADO, Jesús E.; JURADO, Perla J.  y  BLANCO, José R.. Factorial Invariance of the Ryff Psychological Well-being Questionnaire by Gender on University Students. Form. Univ. [online]. 2019, vol.12, n.3, pp.47-54. ISSN 0718-5006.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-50062019000300047.

The present study analyses the psychometric properties proposed for Jurado and collaborators to the Spanish version of the Ryff Psychological Well-being Questionnaire. The overall sample consisted of 1251 subjects; 675 women and 576 men, with a mean age of 20.39 years (SD= 1.83) and 20.79 years (SD= 1.96) respectively. Psychometric analysis showed that a tri-factorial structure (personal growth, positive relationships and self-acceptance) was viable and adequate for both populations (men and woman) according to the established psychometric requirements when the informers are the students themselves. The results showed that factor structure, factor loadings and intercepts of the instrument could be considered invariant across groups; however, there are differences between groups for the means of factors positive relationships and self-acceptance.

Palabras clave : factorial invariance; Ryff questionnaire; psychological well-being; gender effect.
