The aim of this study is to compare self-esteem, optimism, and satisfaction with life between college entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs. In this context, positive psychology could be an emerging perspective that would allow the understanding of attributes that characterize the college entrepreneur. A quantitative, descriptive-comparative and correlational methodology is used. A total of 539 college students from Mexico and Bolivia were considered in the study. The results obtained using one-way ANOVA and linear regression analyses show that entrepreneurs within the university context have higher values ​​for self-esteem and optimism than students who are not entrepreneurs. In conclusion, positive psychology can be a theoretical-methodological proposal that can favor the education of future entrepreneurs in the countries studied.
