CARO ROMERO, Felipe Cesar Camilo e SIMONETTO, Patricio. Radical sexualities: the homosexual liberation movements in Latin America (1967-1989). Izquierdas (Santiago) [online]. 2019, n.46, pp.65-85. ISSN 0718-5049. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-50492019000200065.
The aim of this article is to analyze in comparative and transnational perspective the movements for the homosexual liberation in Latin-America. Based on the researchers of the authors of the Argentinean and Colombian cases, and also, by the recognition of other studies, the text examines the development of these movements in Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Perú, México and Venezuela between 1967 and 1989. The article argues that the politics of radical homosexual can be assumed as a question to the historiography that pointed them as emanations of the Anglo-Saxon activist. All in all, it studies the radical sexual politics in Latin-America and their links with national left-movements, feminists, and the States.
