The present paper analyzes the university autonomy content, from elements present on both the legislative debate regarding to the educational national system and resent constitutional jurisprudence. The paper demonstrates the changes on university autonomy recognition, especially how it content has been configured from its relations with fundamental rights, such as education. This relation tensions the traditional conceptualization of the university autonomy in both Chilean doctrine and constitutional jurisprudence.
