This research compares the regulation offered by the Chilean legal system for genetic privacy protection with the standard offered by International Law and by the European Union communitarian law. This comparison allows us to evidence national regulation omissions and failures and, therefore, the urgent necessity of having legislation that gives a robust protection, both for its iusfundamental hierarchy and for favoring people, families and groups.
