The purpose of this article is to study the conflict resolution methods of Chilean football and how the so-called autonomy of sport has influenced their establishment and regulation. This last vision, not exempt of criticism, finds recognition in the football federations at international and national level, with FIFA and the FFCh respectively, which they have tried to avoid that sport conflicts arising in football were subject of decision by third parties unrelated to it. Finally, with the Court of Arbitration for Sport, as the court of last instance recognized by FIFA, arbitration and mediation has been promoted as mechanisms for resolving conflicts in a social-sports reality that requires speed and expertise in its decision.
