The existence of a large group of special laws that, eventually, conflict with the Consumer Protection Law, has led to a significant number of judgments that raise the question of its compatibility with other regulations applicable to the particular case. The objective of this article is to show that, considering its article 2 bis, the application of Law 19.496 will depend on the extent of the specific regulation (substantive or procedural) in the conflicting norms, preferring the protection of consumer regulation in everything that is not disciplined enough.
