Resumen
BELLO, Daniel y DI FILIPPO, Armando. The comeback of politics: an attempt to explain the new preponderance of the political dimension in international relationships. Polis [online]. 2010, vol.9, n.25, pp.403-420. ISSN 0718-6568. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-65682010000100024.
In this article we seek to explain what we call 'The new preponderance of the political dimension in international relationships', and thus understand the growing importance that, not only politicians, but also multi-dimensional -in contrast to one-dimensional strategies based on the economic-commercial perspective- have recently acquired. We try to answer the worrying and complex questions that the current world stage presents. The thesis is that this "return to politics" in the international plane is explained by the confluence of two processes: on the one hand, the change in the economic cycle -promoted largely by the financial global crisis- that implies the begriming of what the English economist Robert Skidelsky calls' a liberal Keynesian cycle', and, on the other hand, the transformation of the international system and the transition to what the American academician Richard Haass calis 'the age of non-polarity'.
