This article seeks to examine the ways and mechanisms adoptedby the processes of politicization in the popular sectors in Chile. To this end, weanalyze the case of the housing committee "MPL-Franklin" created weeks afterthe last earthquake of February 27, 2010. The thesis developed concerns the needto problematize the relationship between individual subjectivity and collectivesubjectivity to understand the politicization of demands, instrumental at first, whichcoordinate the movement. The concept of "political affection" is used to rebuildthe link between the struggle for housing and the individual trajectories of thecommittee members. The research questions are: how the politicization of certainindividuals in a social environment where passivity reigns can be explained?; Howcan we understand the affection of some individuals in politics, in a setting ofgeneral disaffection?.
