Recent innovations in social theory are focused on thedevelopment of collaborative links with complexity theory. Of course, this approachimplies a deep reconceptualization of the notion of "system" and various associateddynamics and processes. The article shows the extent to which the constructivesynthesis between social theory and complexity theory allows both for a significantprogress in the study and research of certain key sociological theoretical problemsand of "global complexity" as well.
