ALISTE ALMUNA, Enrique y RABI BLONDEL, Violeta. Thinking the socio-environmental issue: representation and representativity on development discourses. Polis [online]. 2012, vol.11, n.32, pp.307-327. ISSN 0718-6568. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-65682012000200015.
Based on empirical study of the currently development discoursesheld by key-actors in the Gran Concepción, Chile, this article raises up sometheoretical implications according to its results. There are two main issues whenwe talk about the couple if terms development-sustainability: the power of socialrepresentations and the opening question about the representativity on decisionsregarding development and sustainability. This connects environmental issues witha claim of citizenship and with the social priorities that we -as a country- accept.
