The following approach is an analysis of the consequences of the exercise of racism in Chile. Considering the political exercise of violence by the state of Chile toward the Mapuche people, we review the case of the hunger strike pursued by 34 Mapuche community members in 2010. We understand this strike as part of the social symptom of the state, in the form of a subversion with its own existence, power and pretention, and the ideological inability to claim legitimacy and universality.
