Resumen
VAZELESK RIBEIRO, Vanderlei. From the fight for land to the protection of Pachamama: the paths of Confederación Campesina del Perú (1947-2016). Polis [online]. 2017, vol.16, n.47, pp.165-185. ISSN 0718-6568. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-65682017000200165.
In this work, we will widely discuss the acting of Confederación Campesina del Perú (CCP), a peasant representative entity in Peru, created in 1947. On a theoretical point of view, our referential frame is supported by authors linked to a heterodox Marxist tradition, such as E. P. Thompson, who developed the argument of class construction along the historical process. This paper takes part in a wider research, that discusses the Peruvian agrarian reform, which started from 1969, during the military regime lead by General Velasco Alvarado. Our method is based on the analysis of the speech and documents produced by the state burocracy and peasant leaders, apart from using oral history interviews that the author performed with some of these leaders in the last years. The main result obtained in our analysis is the Peruvian peasant movement's significance, being expressed in the various conjunctures shaping this country.
