Resumen
ANDALUZ VEGACENTENO, Horacio. The Application of the "New York Convention" in Bolivia. Revista de Derecho de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso [online]. 2013, n.40, pp.511-533. ISSN 0718-6851. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-68512013000100016.
Bolivia has not had the opportunity to apply the "New York Convention". This article is not intended to make an exhaustive exegesis of said international instrument, but merely to review some general considerations for its application as they have being developed by the compared jurisprudence. For this, firstly, the applicability of the Convention from the standpoint of the Bolivian legislation has to be determined; secondly, the procedural assumptions to request its recognition must be developed and, thirdly, to resort to the common aspects on the refusal of recognition. The recognition of annulled arbitrations and the denial of the recognition due to violation of public order are questions that cannot be avoided, because they are part or the necessary general knowledge on the application of the "New York Convention".
