ALVEAR TELLEZ, Julio. Jellinek, Gauchet, Schmitt and Gambra Concept of Secular State and Secularization of Political Power. Revista de Derecho de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso [online]. 2014, n.43, pp.765-799. ISSN 0718-6851. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-68512014000200022.
Secularization of political power mainly condensed in the secular State and then, when it entered in crisis, it condensed in the plurivalent democracy. Georg Jellinek and Marcel Gauchet, each in its own way, suggest the analysis of both phenomena from the autonomy stand point. Carl Schmitt, instead, puts into question the validity and scope of neutrality claimed by the liberal laicism. Rafael Gambra´s contribution highlights these two paradoxical consequences of the secularization process: the State has become an omnipresent power and the deliquesce of the political community, meant by the plurivalent democracy.
