The problem of the definition of soul and spirit could have coul dorig inated in biblical exegesis by Augustine of Hippo, who synthesizes the ontology of "body, soul and spirit" and reduced to "body, spirit".This articleis a rereading of the biblical text which was also controversial among the philosophical schools of its time.
