Resumen

CORDERO QUINZACARA, EDUARDO. CONCEPT AND NATURE OF ADMINISTRATIVE SANCTIONS IN THE CHILEAN DOCTRINE AND JURISPRUDENCE. RDUCN [online]. 2013, vol.20, n.1, pp.79-103. ISSN 0718-9753.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-97532013000100004.

This research aims to establish the concept of administrative sanction according to the Chilean doctrine and jurisprudence. To achieve that, the author discusses the differences between those sanctions, the unfavorable administrative acts and criminal penalties, and the way how the doctrine and jurisprudence have interpreted it. It is argued that the administrative sanction is a type of unfavorable administrative act, but liable to several guarantees in its execution, ontologically identified with the penalties as part of a repressive policy that defines the legislator within the limits that are set forth in our Constitution.

Palabras clave : administrative sanctions; unfavorable administrative acts; penalty.
