Resumen
LORENZINI, María Elena. Argentinean-Chilean bilateral relations 2008-2011: Strategic Alliance: ¿Fact or Fiction?. Si Somos Americanos [online]. 2013, vol.13, n.1, pp.39-64. ISSN 0719-0948. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0719-09482013000100003.
During the last two decades, the relationship between Argentina and Chile has occupied a place of priority on both States' foreign policy agendas. Its evolution shows an important process of deepening. Nevertheless, it is possible to identify some specific episodes -of which the most significant in terms of their impact on the relationship have been the gas crisis and the Apablaza case- that generated some degree of tension. In this context, we identify the relevant facts that allow us to infer whether the 'strategic alliance' is discursive fiction or a concrete reality that characterizes the ties between the two countries.
Palabras clave : Argentina; Chile; strategic alliance.
